FROM TOMORROW IN MONDELLO THEIR WILL BE THE FIRST BEACH VOLLEY TOURNAMENT BETWEEN THE SCHOOLS FROM AND AROUND PALERMO.
AT THE WORLD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH THE ENTHRALLING EXPLORATIONS OF THE ABYSSAL SEASCAPES.  TWO WOMEN WILL GUIDE THE FIRST ROUND OF THE CIRCUIT TO DISCOVER THE NAVAL WRECKS.
PIPPO LO CASCIO AND FRANCESCA MERCADANTE PRESENT CULTURE AT THE FESTIVAL WITH A FEW INTERESTING PUBBLICATIONS ON MONDELLO.

PALERMO- 17^TH OF MAY- Tomorrow there will be beach volley on Mondello’s beach at 9.00am with the 1^st high school tournament that will have around 100 students participating from and around Palermo.

Fourteen boys teams and thireen girls teams will play to win first place in the tournament that has the merit of bringing together the youth to this fun sport.  At the 19^th Edition of the World Festival on the Beach, after the success from last year, the explorations in the sixth continent are back with “mare nostrum” for a fascinating itinerary along the coast of Palermo to discover antique wrecks.

Two women called Tatiana Geloso from Palermo and Bessy Stancanelli from Catania will begin the immersion on the wreck of a Junker on the seabed at Sferracavallo.  The Asscociation has put forward once again free courses to beginners from 8years old, and the chance to try immersions to promote the knowledge and the historical sunken heritage that will be presentated also with an interesting underwater photographic display.

This is a cultural appointmnet  not to be missed at the World Festival on the Beach, the event is co –organized by Palermo’s local Council and by the Sicilian Regional Tourism Department.

This year there will be a few interesting pubblications on Mondello by Pippo Lo cascio and Francesca Mercadante.

History, interests and a few misteries on a trip in a Mondello to be discovered from the prehistoric caves at Mount Pellegrino to the refined liberty styled villas.
