WINDSURFER LEGEND RACE TO BE HELD TOMORROW AT THE WORLD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH, BEACH VOLLEY IS BACK IN MONDELLO WITH THE INTERNATIONAL MONDELLO CUP TOURNAMENT  IN MEMORY OF PIPPO MUCEO.
FROM THURSDAY THE 20^TH TO SUNDAY THE 23^RD THERE WILL BE FITNESS IN THE AFTERNOONS OF THE FESTIVAL 

PALERMO – 19^TH OF MAY- Welcome to Mondello, the centre of the world windsurfing for the  19^th Edition of the World Festival on the Beach organized by the Albaria Windsurfing Club with the collaboration from Palermo’s local Council and the Sicilian Regional Tourism Department.  Tomorrow at 5.30pm the long awaited “Windsurfer Legend Race” is to begin, an international get together with the older windsurfing stars, who will amaze the windsurfing lovers with showing off their acrobatics in the tropical waters in Mondello.  Among those present will be Matt Schweitzer the first winner of the World Windsurfing Championships in 1974, Matt Waltze, who since last year has been entered in the “Hall of Fame” by the Professional Windsurf Association, and also Beppe Cerquetti and Manuela Maxia.The Championships to conquist the Raceboard title goes on. 

Beach Volley is back in The World Festival on The Beach with the International Mondello CupTounament, this year dedicated in memory of Pippo Muceo, “a valued star” of  CONI, who suddendly died in March. The beach volley will begin tomorrow on the beach at 10.00am.

Mondello is the first stop for the Preseries Beach Volley International Tour, a club which will go to other important tourist resorts such as Cagliari, Portorosa, Riccione, Koper, Diano Marino, Maribor and Lubjana.  This year apart from the mens tournament there will also be a womens tournament.  There were approximatly 200 beachers in Mondello representing 10 different nations.

More entertainment with Kite Surfing, which will be held right in front of the beach where the Beach Volley is. Among the Kite surfing protagonists there will be Amit Imbar from Israel. 

From tomorrow until the 23^rd of May from 2.00pm to 6.00pm there will be aerobics and spinning at the World Festival on the Beach, with a performance by instructors to music.  Ten gyms from around Palermo will animate the festivals afternoons.
