THE SICILY GRAND PRIX BEGAN TODAY WITH NICOLAS HUGUET, NEW WORLD CHAMPION IN THE LEAD

After celebrating his success in winning the World Championships, Nicolas Huguet is back in the water for the first two races of the Sicily Grand Prix, a classic of the World Festival on the Beach.
The new World Champion of the Mistral class made the most of the wind coming from a north west direction across Mondello’s Gulf. Todays results see Marco Casagrande and Riccardo Belli dell’Isca amongst those in the lead. In the womans category it was head to head between Martina Fisco and Laura Linares both taking a first and second place each. In third position Valeria Zullo from Rome, who was third in the Masters of the World Championships held earlier this week.
