“FILO DA TORCERE” AND THE GOLF PLAYER ANTONIO JURILLI WIN THE GOLF/SAILS
COMBINATION OF THE WORLD FESTIVAL ON THE BEACH
Today the Palermo-Mondello sprint sailing race took place, the second
race of the 2006 Spring Championships and the final race of the golf/sails
combination, one of the top events at the World festival on the Beach.
In this first combination of golf/sails were the four boats that came in
first in the Palermo-Terrasini race which was held on the 6th of May.
Ugo Palmeri’s boat “Filo da Torcere”, which welcomed aboard the golf
player Antonio Jurilli came in first through the winning post winning
both the overall results and the skin game held at Villa Airold’s Golf
Club.
The podium of the race in the overall results is completed by “Curadau”
and by “La Gatta Frettolosa”. At the podiums feet we find Giulio
Caiozzo’s boat “Extasi” with Paolo Terreni aboard, who came in second
place in the combination. The rest of the boats in the race were Gaetano
Marchese’s “Filomena” with Golf player Luca Marra aboard, they came in
sixth in the boat race and third in the combination. In tenth place
Pitruzzella’s “Dharma” came in with Nicola Maestroni aboard. They came
in fourth place in the combination race.
