Festival on the Beach. By buying only a one way ticket to Palermo
you can get a kids reduced fare for your return journey with a 50%
reduction, thanks to the agreement made by Trenitalia and the
organisers of the World Festival on the Beach, the event that brings
together both sport and music performances. This excellent offer is
available to all those who buy a train ticket from any station in Italy
with Palermo as their destination. This agreement between Trenitalia and
the Albaria will allow all those who wish to come to the World Festival
on the Beach and save 50% on their return fare. All you need to do is
have your ticket you use to arrive in Palermo stamped at the Trenitalia
stand in Mondello, then you present this ticket at the ticket desk in
the train station when you buy your return ticket. The regulations for

Sport, fun and musical performance are all part of the 2006 World
Festival on the Beach. Apart than the Windsurf European Championships,
that will be held from the 15th to the 19th of May, visitors and fans
can watch the sailing races, beach volley, the surf contest,
kite-surfing performances and the novelty of this years edition is the
golf on the beach (Driving Contest) in which the sea plays as the green.
And for those who like to dare there will be Skydiving and Paragliding
shows. There is also something for those who are interested in
photography and can participate in the photo contest.
For those who like music there is something to suit everybody’s taste.
From the orchestral music symphony on the beach to jazz, now reaching
its fifth edition of the New jazz Festival, also the concerts to be held
in the evening with Italian rock and pop artists, and dance music.

choice of synergy between a sports event which has reached international
level, and a way of travelling, on rails. The Sicilian Regional Council
has in these past few years been busy trying to modernise and improve
the Sicilian Rail Network, they have teamed up with the rail network in
an offer to purchase new trains from Trenitalia which is a huge
financial effort for the Sicilian Regional Council.
Now what we need is to encourage travellers, especially young travellers
to choose the train as a method of travel, and the World Festival on the
Beach is an excellent vehicle for promoting and marketing Trenitalia.
