THE FESTIVAL TOLD THROUGH IMAGES
IN MONDELLO THE TRADITIONAL PHOTO CONTEST AND THIS YEARS NEW
EDITION OF THE VIDEO CONTEST
The Photo Contest as always is present at the World Festival on the
Beach 2007, a photo contest that talks about the Festival through images.
The contest is open for professional photographers and for those who are
keen on taking pictures to take as many photos as possible to tell the
Festival through a lens. The contest is open to anyone who wishes to
participate and is free of charge, you may enter the contest before the
16th of May, and you have up until the Sunday the 20th of May to gather
and build your own personal display to hand over to the judges who will
then decide the winner of the Photo Contest 2007.
This years theme will be to gather the World Festival on the Beach in
all aspects. The winner will be who has the best 10 pictures from one
single person, that knows how to interpret and tell the most of the
World Festival on the Beach 2007. There will also be this year a section
dedicated for those who want to take photos with their mobile phones,
this section seems to be growing bigger each year. Other than the final
prize the jury will also give prizes for the best windsurfing images,
the best images of people and to the funniest picture taken.
This year there will also be a Video Contest, which is open to everyone
and free of charge. In this contest it will be possible to make your own
advertisement, fiction or mini documentary lasting no more than three
minutes using professional equipment or even with the video recorder on
your mobile phone. The authors of these videos will need to publish
their work online on the YouTube web site. There will also be a team of
experts who will decide the winner of the first edition of the Video
Contest.
