TOMORROW FROM 1100 WILL BE THE LAST CHANCE TO STEAL THE WORLD TITLE FROM HUGUET AND MANCHON

The Mistral Class World Championships are coming to an end, there were another two races held today for both categories, bringing the 2 fleets up to 10 and 9 races in all.
Tomorrow will be the last day of races, the athletes will be in the water by 11.00 and will carry out 2 races for both men and women, completing the 12 races that had been programmed.
A north western wind blew of 15 knots and Blanca Manchon lead the womans race, getting closer to the world title and the european under 20s title. Managing the gap built up in these days she left the victory in todays races to Vidal, from France but above all to Korzits the Isralian, who manges to beat Tartaglini making her at come in at 4th position in the general results. Amelie Lux from Germany is still second.
Laura Linares finished her day in 19th position, remaining in second place in the European Youth titile. The third under 20 is Ricard, from France.
In the mens category Nicolas Huguet builds up his advantage against the couple who come in behind him, Cariolou from Cyprus, number 10 in the ISAF ranking list and Nikos Kaklamankis’ ex sparring partner, and from the Brazilian Ricardo Winicki Santos better known as “Bimba”. Todays races were won by the Frenchman Launey e Beudou.
As for the Italians in the race, Baffetti was the best while Riccardo Belli dell’ Isca, who is racing for the European Youth Title, is held up in 27th place which at the moment leaves him out of the virtual podium where the Spanish guy Morena Vega would take a gold medal, followed by the Frenchman Cordonnier and the Isralian Mashiah. The Albaria’s young athlete is 21 points away from third place.
Tomorrow from the 11th race the second rule out will take place that could change the situation in the two classifications.
