THE STARS OF THE PROSERIES TOURNAMENT PLAY IN MONDELLO TODAY
THE STUDENTS TOURNAMENT FINISHES WITH GOOD SUCCESS
Yesterday the spectators welcomed on the central court on Mondello’s
beach the beach volley champions, who carried out their first match of
the Proseries tournament organised in the 2006 World Festival on the
Beach program. Competing were the pair Tschudi/Lah who are Swiss and
Slovenian, against the Italian Buragina and Venezuelan Cartaya. It was a
good match, well played and well appreciated by the spectators. In two
sets Tschudi/Lah took the best of their opponents with points of 21-16
and 21-15.
The Proseries International Tournament continued today on Mondello’s
beach. All 8 athletes in the male’s scoreboard will play on the court.
In the evening session the favourite of the match Fabio Diez Olympic
champion from Spain will play with the Italian Piero Antonini, who is a
European Champion.
On the other side of the net there will be Vesti from Switzerland, many
times a national champion, and a beginner to the Proseries circuit
Martins from Brazil.
Tomorrow the women players will play in the female tournament, and will
see some of the best players in Italy play.
