GENERAL INFORMATION
From 21st until 26th May, the enchanting seaside resort of Mondello (7 km. from Palermo in Sicily, Italy) will host the eleventh edition of the Windsurf World Festival organised by the Albaria Windsurfing Club. The Merit Cup Windsurf World Festival consist of two events: The Windsurfing Nations Cup and the Individual Race Sicily Gran Prix where the international Mistral and Funboard Classes recognised by the IYRU will be present. The windsurfing Nations Cup will be a battle of more competitors of same Nation with a lot of tactics involved. For the second time in the world the exciting windsurfing by night race will be held in the wonderful bay of Mondello. In addition to the outstanding sport events, many enjoyable activities are planned: a Photo Contest open to everyone; Italian fashion shows will delight the audience and make the 1996 Merit Cup Windsurf World Festival a truly unforgettable experience.
